Students from Neutra Elementary School onboard Naval Air Station Lemoore will be in for a special treat when they return to school and find a newly decorated mezzanine entrance floor.

Neutra Elementary is comprised of students whose parents serve in a diverse group of commands: squadrons, Public Works, the hospital, etc. Yet, they are undeniably bounded by the reality that at any given point throughout the school year some children will have a parent on deployment.

"Our intent is for our students to know that we acknowledge their families' sacrifice," said Courtney Kirchman, Neutra Elementary principal. "Every day that the students walk through our main doors, they will be greeted by a visual symbol representing our partnership and the support between school and home."

Thanks to the Central Union School District's maintenance department and a local design firm, the logos were printed and installed just in time for the new school year.

While these logos are essentially vinyl stickers with multiple layers of wax placed on top of them, they are also easy to modify should any of the commands alter their logo.

"I can't wait to see the students' reaction when they see the logos for the first time," said Kirchman. "I am honored to be part of the Neutra family and we are always looking for any manner in which we can improve the children's lives and morale."
