California's Universal Meals is provided at no cost to all students attending our school district. Under the new California Universal Meals program all schools must be under a provision. Akers and Neutra Elementary are Provision 2 Schools, the state requires all Provision 2 schools to continue to collect Meal Applications yearly.   Read more about Meal Application

No meals will be distributed curbside, Wednesday, June 2. Meals distributed Wednesday, May 26th will include meals for the last week of school, June 1-4th. Also, coming soon the Food Services Program has exciting changes happening for the 2021-2022 school year! We're proud to be named an ERP Honor Roll school, which recognizes high-performing, achievement gap-closing schools across the nation. The Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll, sponsored by CBEE, is the only school recognition program using state student achievement outcomes as the criteria.   Read more about ERP Honor Roll School

In the coming days, you will begin to see construction activity occurring on the Neutra Campus. The District was also able to secure close to $3.4 million in state funding under the Kindergarten Facilities Grant for this project. California has just recognized R.J. Neutra as an elementary school that demonstrates exemplary achievements! The long-awaited school construction, renovation, and modernization project at Admiral Akers School is ready to begin. The process of getting to this point has been lengthy and has included designing the plan, addressing all areas of the Federal facilities report, and securing funding both from the Federal and State Government.  Read more about Akers School Modernization
