On Thursday, September 15th, Neutra families gathered together on campus for Book Fair Family Night. In addition to shopping, they enjoyed dinner and activities at no cost thanks to our generous community. Mrs. Gosschalk and Mrs. VanGroningen hosted activities in the Literacy Garden, and Mrs. Garner provided families with a take-home literacy activity. Mrs. Cardoza planned International Dot Day activities. Cub Scout Pack 425 hosted leaf rubbings while Girl Scout Service Unit 63 helped families make SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallits Affectionally Pinned Somewhere). Additionally, Girl Scouts, Kaylana and Melanie, from Troop 6001 hosted their Bronze Award Project focused on educating their community on the importance of wearing a properly fitting helmet and provided 45 helmets at no cost to children at the event. Kings County Public Library also joined the fun and helped over 40 children sign-up for library cards. School Liaison Officer Margaret Gladders provided information to families and signed students up for Deployment Club. Representatives from Liberty Military Housing, Fleet and Family Support Center, and the NAS Lemoore Security Department were also on campus.

It was a fun-filled evening enjoyed by all who attended!
